Date - The date of acquisition appears in DD MMM YYYY format.An orange box outlines the ground track of the satellite. Satellite Location Subset Map - This map displays the direction the satellite is taking on a larger scale.The red stop button will close out the current feed and restart the feed to the most recent acquisitions. The yellow pause button will temporarily hold the feed at its current location.
The blue circle icon toggles the names of cities and features on and off. Feed Controls - The fire icon toggles the fire detection feature on and off.For EarthNow!, the band combination options include "True Color" and "Vegetation Analysis". The choice of band combination will put specific sensor bands into these channels to produce an array of colors. Band Combination - Three channels can be used for visual display of Landsat's multispectral image data: red, green and blue (RGB).This sidebar also features band combination selection feed controls, the satellite location ancillary map, the date and time of acquisition, the path and row numbers, and geographical information specific to the area being displayed. The top display on the right sidebar indicates which Landsat mission is being displayed, and indicates whether it is a recorded pass or near-real time live-streaming. They are turned on at a slightly different point in the return scan than where they were turned off, giving the imagery a jagged edge. The imaging detectors are turned off momentarily at the edge of the image. As the satellite travels above the Earth's surface, the sensor rapidly scans the viewing area from side to side. The edges of the feed appear jagged because of the way the Landsat sensors collect image data.
Each pass has a swath width between 185 and 190 kilometers (115-118.1 miles). The image feed appears on the left hand side of the screen. The screen is divided between the main display and the sidebar controls. When no active acquisitions are being made, the most recent pass is replayed. Other than that, great game, I really hope I can finish it because if not, then I’ll feel like I wasted a lot of time for nothing.EarthNow! allows users to see recent data acquired by the Landsat 8 and Landsat 9 satellites in near-real time. Maybe try to highlight the area on the ground where it needs to be tapped? When I have to talk to someone or go someplace, I have to tap multiple times because I’m unsure of where exactly to tap even though the exclamation point is hovering over it. The second thing that bothers me is that the controls are kinda wonky. So now, I’m stuck on chapter 14 (I think) at a very pivotal moment and the game is broken! Very heartbreaking. I’ve tried interacting with the characters in that area, the doors, so on and nothing works, which forces me to save and close in hopes of being able to return and complete the scene. The first is that sometimes when there is dialogue, an ad will pop up, which is fine, but then the ad completely breaks the game and I can’t continue the dialogue or anything. I really like this game! Unique, very interesting motifs that are used. They appear right before a save point so it doesn’t interrupt the flow of the story too much. There is an ad after every chapter, but they’re skippable after 5 seconds. The story brings it all together in the end so nothing added was wasted, it just didn’t feel so at the time of reading. If I had to give 1 complaint it would be that eventually every chapter ends with either a huge cliffhanger because of new information, or a plot twist that at first seems to come out of nowhere. Simple but very powerful and emotional, it fits the game’s atmosphere perfectly. Not just the story either, I was extremely surprised at how good the music was. The further you get the better everything becomes. But the story and characters all grew on me as I read. At first the blocky looking characters and few environments made me expect something low quality. I’ve never written a review before, but this is a special game.
